Hydro Cyclone
There is a hollow cylinder on the upper part of the hydro cyclone and a reverse cone on the lower part of the hydro cyclone, which is interlinked with Hydro Cyclone the hollow cylinder. The hollow cylinder and the reverse cone compose the hydro cyclone working barrel. On the top of the hollow cylinder, there is a material feed in pipe, which the overflow pipe and overflow guiding pipe are installed on its top. The sand setting outlet is located at the bottom of the revise cone. They are connected with flanges and bolts. Material feed inlet, barrel and sand setting outlet are protected with rubber and polyurethane or dolerite cast stone to reduce the wear and make them easier to be replaced. The sand setting outlet could be made as adjustable style. The customer can adjust according to their requirements. The small size Hero cyclone could be fully made from polyurethane.
Principle of Operation
With the sand pump (or height difference), the Hydro cyclone will screw the pulp in the cylinder at a certain pressure (average is 0.5 ~ 2.5 kg/cm) and velocity (about 5 ~ 12 m/s) along the tangent direction. Then the pulp will rotate along the wall at a fast speed to generate centrifugal force. Affected by the centrifugal force and under the action of gravity, coarse grain and heavy particles which obtained more centrifugal force will be thrown to the cylinder wall, and then they will screw back to the bottom according to the spiral trajectory. Finally they will be discharged from the sand setting outlet. For the small and light grains which obtained less centrifugal force will be forced in the center of the tapered tube and they will form a upward helix ore flow, then they will discharge from the overflow pipe. Generally processing range of the Hydro cyclone is 0.3 ~ 0.01 mm.
Main Functins
In the mineral dressing industry, it is mainly used for grading, separation, thickening and desliming. When the hydro cyclone is used as grading equipment, mainly Hydro Cyclone be used together with the grinding machine to form integrate grinding and classification system. When used as desliming equipment, it applies for desliming in factory. When used as thickening and dewatering equipment, it is available for thickening the feighs so that we can deliver the feighs to fill the underground mining tunnel.
